Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook<\/a> has been named the jury president of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, which runs May 12-23. He will preside over the main competition selections, with the rest of the jury of filmmakers and talent to be announced soon.<\/p>\n

The Korean filmmaker has competed in Cannes\u2019 main competition with \u201cDecision to Leave<\/a>,\u201d \u201cThe Handmaiden<\/a>,\u201d \u201cThirst<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cOldboy<\/a>.\u201d \u201cThirst<\/a>\u201d won the Jury Prize in 2009, while \u201cDecision to Leave<\/a>\u201d won Best Director in 2022.<\/p>\n
