Mike Tindall<\/a> has sparked major backlash over his choice to wear a ‘MAGA-style’ hat on the latest episode of The Good, The Bad & The Rugby. Making another appearance on his podcast alongside his co-hosts, James Haskall and Alex Payne, the 47-year-old discussed England’s performance in Saturday’s Six Nations match last weekend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Whilst the discussion caused controversy on social media<\/a>, Mike’s red hat also attracted attention from listeners. The statement hat boldly stated ‘Make England Great Again’ in white stitching, with people making comparisons to US President Donald Trump<\/a>‘s infamous slogan ‘Make America Great Again’, also known by the acronym MAGA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Taking to X, fans didn’t appear impressed, with one fan writing: “Why is Princess Anne\u2019s son-in-law wearing a MAGA-looking hat? That\u2019s kinda weird, no?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n A second added: “Princess Anne\u2019s son-in-law, Mike Tindall, wearing a \u2018Make England Great Again’ cap. People excusing this as “rugby” connected. I did NOT look at that and think “rugby”, I thought MAGA. This isn’t a good look coming from the Royal Family- pretty low.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n A third added: “Just look at the hat Mike Tindall, Willie’s bestie and Princess Anne\u2019s son-in-law is wearing.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Catherine, who is known for her love of a range of sports, is the patron of the Rugby Football Union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Appearing in high spirits, the 44-year-old was pictured smiling as she wore purple to match the occasion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Catherine – who sported a purple England Rugby scarf – was pictured alongside RFU President Deborah Griffin in the stands before the Guinness Men’s Six Nations match.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
