According to a royal expert, the monarchy can no longer depend on its old way of handling crises as public expectations have changed. <\/p>\n
Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office and was later released while investigations continue. <\/p>\n
Speaking with GB News, <\/i>royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said the palace is now \u201con the back foot\u201d because it cannot predict what might happen next. <\/p>\n
\u201cFirstly, the two quotes that the royals always used to have in Queen Elizabeth\u2019s time, \u2018Keep calm and carry on\u2019, which is what, essentially, they\u2019ve got to do in the coming months,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cBut the other thing is, \u2018Never explain, never complain,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cThat is dead. But equally, it\u2019s early days. You see, the thing is, people want instant responses. <\/p>\n
\u201cKing Charles should apologise\u2026 Always issue a statement, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n
He further pointed out that even though Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton already released statements, he stressed that the situation is still unstable and unlikely to settle down anytime soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had two statements, and he\u2019s done his best. Of course, it hasn\u2019t quietened the unrest. It\u2019s a real crisis, no question about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
