Jennifer Garner; Kylie Kelce Jennifer Garner joined Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie<\/em> podcast on Thursday, Feb. 26, where she opened up about her thoughts on raising teenagers<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n During the conversation, the 13 Going on 30 <\/em>star shared her best mom advice on raising teenagers to Kelce, encouraging her to give herself grace when the time comes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n She also noted that her children went through some “tortured years” while their mom was in the spotlight<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Jennifer Garner<\/a> is sharing her top tips for raising teenagers.<\/p>\n On Thursday, Feb. 26, the mom of three, 53, made an appearance on Kylie Kelce<\/a>‘s\u00a0Not Gonna Lie<\/em>\u00a0podcast<\/a>. During the episode, Garner, who’s a mom to Samuel, 13, Seraphina, 17, and Violet, 20<\/a>, opened up to the podcaster and mom of four, 33, about the realities of raising teenagers.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, the cool thing is teenagers are amazing,\u201d the\u00a013 Going on 30<\/em><\/a>\u00a0alum told Kelce. \u201cThey’re funny. They have all these interests you never could have predicted. They’re thoughtful.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody has their moments. We have our moments, but you grow up with them,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt’s not like somebody’s gonna hand you a 14-year-old and say, \u2018Here, deal with this.\u2019 You will have been through every age. You will have had little foreshadowing of what this is gonna be like. You will have practiced.\u201d<\/p>\n The Last Thing He Told Me<\/em><\/a>\u00a0actress also shared her advice for Kelce, who shares her four daughters<\/a> with husband Jason Kelce<\/a>, for when her children get older.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery day as a mom is a new day to say, \u2018Okay. That didn’t work. Let me try again,\u2019 \u201c Garner said. \u201cEvery day is a fresh start. Every day is an opportunity, and if you can just keep giving yourself that grace, you get there, and you’re suddenly just like, \u2018Oh, this is fun.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n During their conversation, Garner revealed that her popular movie 13 Going on 30<\/em> created some “tortured years” for her kids, sharing how she navigated that moment in their lives.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, they went through some tortured years where they were turning 13, and [13 Going on 30<\/em>] was showing up at birthday parties a lot or sleepovers, and the parents thought, \u2018Oh, this will be a fun thing.\u2019 And my kids were, first of all, mortified,” she said. “And second of all, so upset to see me sad, so upset to see me being in love \u2026 and, also, it’s just so cringe.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cI got a couple of calls from sleepovers, like, I think I have a headache. And I\u2019m like, \u2018A headache?
