Jennifer Garner<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s kids didn’t want to see Jenna Rink be 30, flirty and thriving.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the 13\u00a0Going on 30 star recently admitted, her beloved 2004 film quite literally created a headache for Violet<\/strong>, 20, Seraphina<\/strong>, 17, and Samuel<\/strong>, 13\u2014who she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck<\/a><\/strong>\u2014when they became teenagers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went through some tortured years where they were turning 13,\u201d Jennifer told <\/span>Kylie Kelce<\/strong> on the Feb. 26 episode of her podcast <\/span>Not Gonna Lie<\/span><\/a>. \u201c[<\/span>13 Going on 30<\/span>] was showing up at birthday parties a lot, or sleepovers, and the parents thought, \u2018Oh, this will be a fun thing.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Though the parents had good intentions, Jennifer said her kids couldn\u2019t have been less thrilled with the movie choice\u2014and even made up some excuses to get out of the sleepovers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy kids were, first of all, mortified,” the 53-year-old, who starred alongside Mark Ruffalo<\/strong> in the film, shared. “And second of all, so upset to see me sad, so upset to see me being in love\u2026 and, also, it’s just so cringe.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
