The singer is a renowned lover of felines, and t<\/span>he new album leans into this persona, with a white cat fronting the project\u2019s cover. There are also tracks like \u201cCats\u201d and \u201cThe White Cat\u201d, which paint the singer as a recluse who is diving deep into her own psyche. <\/span><\/p>\n A recent online trend has proven the love goes both ways. <\/span>According to fans, Mitski\u2019s music is beloved by cats, with many sharing videos of their pets entering a trancelike state when her songs are played \u2013 or reacting violently<\/a> when they are switched off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Taking its name from the Japanese word for \u2018kitten\u2019, Koneko Cat Cafe doubles as a charity that houses \u2018at-risk\u2019 cats from around New York City who would be facing euthanisation if it weren\u2019t for the charity\u2019s involvement.
