Shia LaBeouf had a rebuking from a judge during his latest court appearance following his arrest in New Orleans earlier this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n The actor was arrested on February 17 for allegedly ‘terrorizing’ the Louisiana city<\/a> during Mardi Gras and was charged with two counts of battery over an alleged assault outside a bar.<\/p>\n The 39-year-old was released in the hours that followed his arrest and was initially allowed to leave custody without paying a bond.<\/p>\n However, at the time of his release the allegations about him using homophobic slurs during the reported confrontation was unbeknown to the judge, The Guardian<\/a> reported, which is why he was able to leave.<\/p>\n LaBeouf<\/a> was back in court<\/a> yesterday (February 26) and faced Orleans Parish Criminal Court Judge Simone Levine alongside his lawyer, criminal defense attorney Sarah Chervinsky.<\/p>\n Shia LaBeouf has been ordered to pay $100,000 bond after being released from police custody (Dave Benett\/WireImage)<\/cite><\/div>\n Scolding the Transformers<\/em> star, the judge said: “This defendant does not take his alcohol<\/a> addiction seriously. <\/p>\n “This court does not believe he understands the level of seriousness when it comes to these allegations.”<\/p>\n She further called the alleged attack that took place earlier this month a concern for ‘the safety of this larger community<\/a>, especially relative to a marginalised community that has gone through so much terror’, meaning the LGBTQ<\/a>+ community.<\/p>\n LaBeouf was ordered to pay $100,000 as part of his new bail terms set out by Judge Levine, as well as being told he must return to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.<\/p>\n The actor, who has been open about his sobriety issues in the past<\/a>, has also been ordered to enrol himself to a drug testing program.
