The Princess of Wales<\/a> was embraced by a second young royal fan during a visit to a Welsh art gallery on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The adorable moment came as Kate, 44, and Prince William<\/a>, 43, carried out a series of engagements in Wales ahead of St David’s Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As they attended an art workshop\u00a0at Oriel Davies, a public contemporary art gallery,\u00a0a little girl appeared to wrap her arms around the Princess after gifting her a handmade necklace.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Images show the young child wrapping her arms around a smiling Kate as she received the piece of jewellery in a sweet moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a separate heartwarming instance, another schoolgirl embraced the Princess as photos showed her burying her face inside Kate’s coat during a meet-and-greet.<\/p>\n

Kate was later photographed crouching low to accept bouquets from a group of children gathered outside the Oriel Davies gallery in Newtown.<\/p>\n

The Princess and Prince were visiting a project funded by the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award, focused on supporting the well-being of children and young people in the local area.<\/p>\n

In a sweet surprise for the royal, a girl gifted her a homemade necklace made during the art workshop, as a delighted Kate insisted on wearing it immediately.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales demonstrated her thrifty approach to dressing by re-wearing an Alexander McQueen coat today as she joined Prince William at a Welsh community event for their first engagement of the day.<\/p>\n

Kate, 44, teamed the stylish burgundy number with her merlot Gianvito Rossi leather boots, both of which she wore in 2024 during the Qatar state visit, as well as her matching ME+EM pussy bow blouse and her \u00a3570 CO pleated midi skirt.<\/p>\n

She finished the look with a daffodil pin on one of the lapels of her coat, honouring Wales’ primary symbol, which is worn on St David\u2019s Day, the annual celebration that commemorates the patron saint of the nation.<\/p>\n

Kate and William travelled to Powys, the county with the most volunteers per capita in the UK, today to celebrate community ahead of the March 1 commemoration.<\/p>\n

Their first stop was the Hanging Gardens, a space dedicated to nurturing community resilience and creativity in Llanidloes and its surrounding area.<\/p>\n

The Hanging Gardens provides a vibrant hub for sustainable living, artistic expression, and shared experiences through their caf\u00e9, performing arts centre, indoor market, community garden, kitchens and workshops.<\/p>\n

Kate and William met with volunteers who keep the centre running and participated in some of their unique workshops and activities, including preparations for St David\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

Looking effortlessly elegant in her statement coat, the Princess chatted to members of the public and watched a choir during the visit.<\/p>\n

Kate and William then visited Oriel Davies, a public contemporary art gallery based in Newtown, rural Powys, to see a project funded by the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award.<\/p>\n

They learned how regular creative workshops led by artist Nicky Arscott encourage social connections and build confidence among young people, through connection to nature and a celebration of cultures and community cohesion.<\/p>\n

Following this, they visited a local Welsh learners group, in the Gallery Caf\u00e9 practicing their Welsh.<\/p>\n

They’ll then visit Hafan Yr Afon, a hub for culture, community, and heritage located in Newtown, Powys, and run by Open Newtown, a community land trust and social enterprise, which also manages 100 acres of local parklands.<\/p>\n
