GREENSBORO, N.C. – Downtown Greensboro welcomes a new music venue in the revitalized former Triad Stage building.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pyrle will be a 1,000-person capacity venue located at 232 S. Elm Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a news release, The Pyrle said it would bring national touring artists and rising talent to the venue several nights a week. It said it would also host stand-up comedy, film nights on a large LED screen, live-streamed concerts and sports and provide private event rentals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Construction on the building began last year. Dominick Amendum is the manager of the new venue. He said they have 40 shows booked over the next few months.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is a full-time cocktail bar inside the venue that will remain open six days a week, regardless if there is a show happening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Friday is opening night with performers by Rock\/Folk artist Anders Osborne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
