Any and all artistic projects and performance artists from anywhere in the world are invited to apply to be a Fringe show. Online submissions are open now through March 31.<\/p>\n<p>Anything goes at the Rochester Fringe Festival. Festival CEO Erica Fee and her team have created so many unforgettable moments, from dancing on the side of a skyscraper to aerial artists hanging by their teeth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComedy, theater, dance, music, multi-disciplinary performances, kids\u2019 performances, visual art, films, spoken word, shows that we can\u2019t even classify,\u201d said\u00a0Erica Fee, founding producer and CEO of the Rochester Fringe Festival.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embedcode\"><center><\/p>\n<div class=\"keypointsbox\" style=\"text-align: left; width: 95%;\">\n<hr style=\"height: 2px; border-width: 0; background-color: #042d4d;\"\/>\n<h4 style=\"text-indent: 10px;\"><b>What You Need To Know<\/b><\/h4>\n<h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0The Fringe features international, national and local performance artists<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>\u00a0The ESL Rochester Fringe Festival is Spet. 15-26<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>It is a multi-arts festival with theatre, comedy, dance, music, visual arts, physical theatre, children&#8217;s entertainment, poetry and more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/h5>\n<hr style=\"height: 2px; border-width: 0; background-color: #042d4d;\"\/>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/center><br \/>\n<span class=\"remove-embeded\"\/><\/div>\n<p>All that has put Rochester on the map. The\u00a0Rochester Fringe Festival is one of the most attended Fringe festivals in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that Rochester punches above its weight in terms of arts and culture. We have people who grew up in this area who live in New York, LA, or Chicago or like I did in London, and come back to Rochester to perform in the Fringe in front of a hometown crowd, and that is always interesting,\u201d said Fee.<\/p>\n<p>One of the more than two dozen venues across Rochester that will host Fringe Festival performances is the School of the Arts in the Rochester City School District.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is amazing to see how our involvement with Fringe Festival has grown. We can accommodate dancers, circus acts \u2014 comedians love us. We turn our art gallery into a comedy club for the Fringe each year. It is truly one of the most magical things that we do,\u201d said\u00a0Alan Tirre, principal at School of the Arts.<\/p>\n<p>School of the Arts has five performance spaces. A portion of ticket sale proceeds go right back to the school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a school that specializes in creative writing, dance, drama, all things music and all things visual arts and theatre technology. There is something for everybody,\u201d said Tirre.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a celebration of creativity, reminding us that when the arts come to town, it\u2019s not just to entertain us. It reminds us why the arts matter so much in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are now open, and you can apply by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/backstage.rochesterfringe.com\/?_ga=2.259146058.1749718322.1772119039-659967362.1770995919\">clicking here<\/a>. There is no application fee.<\/p>\n<p>The full festival lineup will be announced on July 14.
