One of the Strip\u2019s largest casino operators might be attracting attention from potential buyers, a new report suggests.<\/p>\n
Caesars Entertainment is weighing takeover offers, including a possible management-led buyout, according to Thursday story from the Financial <\/a>Times<\/a>. Reno-based Caesars Entertainment is \u201cexploring a sale after receiving takeover interest from several possible bidders,\u201d among them Texas billionaire Tilman Fertitta, the FT reported.<\/p>\n On Friday, a Caesars Entertainment spokesperson said the company would not comment on market speculation or rumors. Fertitta could not immediately be reached for comment.<\/p>\n Caesars Entertainment\u2019s stock price surged more than 19 percent after the close of trading Thursday following the FT story. As of midday Friday, the stock price was $24.33 per share, up $3.10 per share since the start of the week.<\/p>\n This is a developing story.
