You just didn\u2019t know where to look first at the Frieze festival\u2019s Feb. 26 opening \u2014 but it wasn\u2019t always at the artwork on the walls.<\/p>\n

The event, now in its seventh year, sprawled across a circus-style big-top tented megalopolis at the Santa Monica Airport \u2014 a far cry from its 2019 debut on the Paramount lot but every bit as spectacular. With work from 100 galleries representing artists from around the world, hordes of aficionados poured through the space during the opening of the four-day festival. There was, as usual, a heavy celebrity quotient; this year\u2019s included Timothy Olyphant<\/a>, Emma Watson<\/a>, Christoph Waltz<\/a>, WME<\/a>\u2019s Ari Emanuel<\/a> and wife Sarah Staudinger<\/a> (of L.A. fashion brand Staud), Red Hot Chili Peppers\u2019 Anthony Kiedis<\/a>, Fiona Shaw<\/a> and Lisa Edelstein<\/a>, plus artists Doug Aitken<\/a>, Adam Alessi and Andrea.<\/p>\n

But the real stars of Frieze<\/a> aren\u2019t always the bold-faced names \u2014 they\u2019re the boldly dressed ones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
