MUSIC<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n \u2018Behind the Mask<\/strong>\u2019<\/p>\n The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas closes its 2025-26 MainStage concert season with a concert titled\u00a0\u201cBehind the Mask: Romeo and Juliet,\u201d\u00a07:30 p.m. Saturday at Fayetteville\u2019s Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St.<\/p>\n Guest conductor Tamara Dworetz will be on the podium as SoNA plays portions of Sergei Prokofiev\u2019s ballet \u201cRomeo and Juliet,\u201d Anton\u00edn Dvor\u00e1k\u2019s \u201cCarnival Overture,\u201d Carl Nielsen\u2019s \u201cMaskarade Overture,\u201d Anna Clyne\u2019s \u201cMasquerade\u201d and \u201cWaltz & Galop\u201d from Aram Khachaturian\u2019s \u201cMasquerade Suite.\u201d<\/p>\n Dworetz, one of four finalists for the orchestra\u2019s vacant music director position, will take part in a free pre-show Creative Conversation at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n Concert sponsor is Greenwood Gearhart. Fifth St., El Dorado. Burris and Tilley traveled and painted together, creating landscapes, still lifes and figurative works that document specific moments in time and place. Visitors can travel the world, more or less, in a single evening, sampling food and performances in six different \u201clands,\u201d including, for 2026, Italy, Egypt, China and Japan and a U.S. city \u2014 Honolulu. A Fairytale Forest, especially for children and inspired by the Land of Oz, will feature costumed characters and a balloon ride, reflecting Wildwood\u2019s summer camp production of \u201cThe Wizard of Oz.\u201d Each cultural area will present food, beverages, music, children\u2019s activities and photo opportunities inspired by the culture it represents.
