Ashley Tisdale French<\/strong><\/a> has a <\/span>suite<\/span> update on her life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Six years after the actress last stepped in front of the camera in <\/span>Carol’s Second Act<\/span>, she announced that she is planning to make her return to the small screen in the series <\/span>You’re Only Young Twice<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n “I told my agent I was retired in acting,” Ashley teased alongside the announcement on Instagram Feb. 27<\/a>, “and he said\u2026 umm no you’re not.”<\/span><\/p>\n The comedy series\u2014which is still in early development but has not yet been picked up<\/span>\u2014<\/span><\/span>will follow <\/span>once-couple<\/span> Emily (Ashley) and Alex, who married in high school <\/span>after Emily got pregnant.<\/span> With their child starting college, the couple, now each 35, can get a divorce and start a new chapter while, according to Deadline<\/a>, “they’re still young enough to enjoy it.” Newly divorced, Emily and Alex explore dating and co-parenting in their 30s.<\/span><\/p>\n Along with starring in the show, which may be picked up by CBS, Ashley is also an executive producer alongside writer <\/span>Tommy Johnagin<\/strong> and <\/span>Mandy Summers<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
