Delroy Lindo<\/a> took a few moments at Saturday night\u2019s NAACP Image Awards to thank everyone for their support following last week\u2019s incident at the BAFTA Film Awards, when an audience member with Tourette\u2019s syndrome shouted a racial slur.<\/p>\n

Sinners<\/a> co-stars Lindo<\/a> and Michael B. Jordan<\/a> were presenting at BAFTA when Tourette\u2019s campaigner John Davidson<\/a>, who was in the audience, shouted the N-word as they were about to present the award for Best Visual Effects.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d just like to officially say, I appreciate, we appreciate all the support and love we have been shown in the aftermath of what happened last weekend. It means a lot to us,\u201d Lindo said, alongside Sinners\u2019 writer-director Ryan Coogler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He added the moment is a \u201cclassic case of something that could be very negative becoming very positive\u201d and reflected on the \u201chonor\u201d of being at the NAACP Image Awards.<\/p>\n
