\n\tNBC\u2019s Saturday Night Live<\/a> tackled one of the biggest controversies of the week, the shocking incident at the BAFTA Film Awards involving Tourette\u2019s campaigner John Davidson\u2019s involuntary racial slur, in a cut-for-time sketch that may stir its own controversy with its comedic take on the neurological disorder.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the high-wire, PSA-style skit titled \u2018Tourette\u2019s,\u2019 a host of celebrities, including J.K. Rowling, Mel Gibson, The Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin<\/a>, Armie Hammer<\/a>, Louis C.K., Bill Cosby and Ye claim they suffer from Tourette\u2019s, which would explain problematic comments or actions they have been involved in.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor instance, Zarin, played by Sarah Sherman, whose recent video critique of Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl half-time show led to her firing from the Real Housewives\u2018 revival series, revealed, \u201cI suffer from severe longwinded monologue-style Tourette\u2019s, a condition that affects nine out of 10 people on Long Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSaid actor Hammer, portrayed by the episode\u2019s host Connor Storrie<\/a>, \u201cNot many people know this, but one of the most common side effects of Tourette\u2019s is cannibalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHarkening back to the BAFTA controversy, SNL\u2018s mock Tourette\u2019s PSA was \u201cbrought to you by National Workforce of Rethinking Disabilities, or N.W.O.R.D.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt last weekend\u2019s BAFTA ceremony, Davidson shouted the N-word at presenters Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan, along with other offensive language earlier at the event. The ceremony\u2019s host Alan Cumming apologized for the \u201cstrong language,\u201d<\/a> noting that it was a result of \u201cinvoluntary verbal tics.\u201d The racial slur made it to the BBC\u2019s tape-delayed BAFTA telecast.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
