Jennifer Garner<\/strong><\/a> and ex-husband Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a> stepped out together to celebrate their son Samuel\u2019s 14th birthday.<\/p>\n

In photos obtained by Page Six<\/em><\/a>, the pair were seen walking together at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, California, on Saturday, February 28, carrying gear in their hands.<\/p>\n

Garner, 53, donned jeans and a white tank top and paired the look with sunglasses and a black baseball cap, while Affleck, also 53, wore black jeans and a white T-shirt with a gray jacket and a pair of sunglasses.<\/p>\n

Garner and Affleck welcomed son Samuel<\/a> in 2012. The duo are also parents to children Violet, 20, and Seraphina, 17. (Garner and Affleck tied the knot in 2005 before separating in 2015 and finalizing their divorce three years later.)<\/p>\n

Ahead of the outing, Garner got candid about her coparenting relationship with Affleck during an episode of Bustle<\/em>\u2019s \u201cOne Nightstand\u201d YouTube series. During the February podcast, Garner weighed in on how she has found a way to balance<\/a> raising her kids with appreciation and a conscientious upbringing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that I do a bit of both,\u201d Garner explained. \u201cAnd I think my kids\u2019 dad does too. Especially when your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad and he becomes dad and mom. You kind of can\u2019t help it, right? Because you don\u2019t have the benefit of both sides of the yin and yang being in the same house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garner went on to note that she had to \u201chave a bit of both\u201d upbringing qualities and appreciation \u201cin the way\u201d she and Affleck parent.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a little bit of loss in that, but there\u2019s also something gained in that,\u201d she said. \u201cYou also just learn. It\u2019s made me let go and not focus so much on bringing up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBen Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted spending some quality time together over the weekend after enjoying Thanksgiving as a family. Affleck, 52, was photographed in the driver\u2019s seat of a car with Garner, 52, hopping in the passenger side after picking up some bagels on Saturday, December 7. The exes reportedly had breakfast together [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Affleck, for his part, has also been open about his dynamic with Garner after their split. \u201cI\u2019m really lucky that I have a really good coparent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids\u2019 mom, who\u2019s wonderful and great,\u201d Affleck told GQ in a 2025 profile. \u201cWe work together well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Years prior, Affleck told The New York Times<\/em> that the \u201cbiggest regret\u201d of his life is \u201cthis divorce.\u201d<\/p>\n
