She may have played his onscreen wife in Any Given Sunday<\/a><\/em>, but Lauren Holly<\/a> is no fan of Dennis Quaid<\/a>.<\/p>\n In recent Threads posts, Holly criticized Quaid for stumping for President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n Holly\u2019s social-media smackdown came after Senator Ted Cruz<\/a> shared a photo of himself and Quaid<\/a>\u00a0aboard Air Force One as the plane took Trump to Texas.<\/p>\n Cruz also posted a video of Quaid impersonating Ronald Reagan<\/a>, as he did in the 2024 biopic film Reagan<\/a><\/em>, and giving his take on the current president. \u201cWell, I think he\u2019s like me on steroids, actually,\u201d Quaid said, in character.<\/p>\n Holly reacted to Quaid\u2019s Air Force One ride with disgust. \u201cAt least I got to slap him real hard in Any Given Sunday<\/em>,\u201d she wrote on Threads<\/a>.<\/p>\n When a fellow user asked if Holly could \u201cslap the whole regime really hard,\u201d she wrote back<\/a>, \u201cI would if I could.\u201d<\/p>\n At an event in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday, Trump called Quaid \u201cone of the best actors in America,\u201d saying he \u201chas gotten accolades all over the place, and he really is good.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump then invited Quaid to make some remarks. \u201cHello, Corpus Christi!\u201d the actor exclaimed as he took the mic. \u201cHello, Texas! My home state. I love Corpus Christi. And I love Donald Trump!\u201d<\/p>\n Trump then shook Quaid\u2019s hand and said he \u201cdid a great job.\u201d<\/p>\n When a Threads user posted video Quaid\u2019s loving remarks toward Trump, Holly replied<\/a>, \u201cIt\u2019s crazy to me at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n Someone else on Threads wrote, \u201cWatching @laurenholly comment on all the Dennis [Quaid] capitulation is top-tier @threads energy. Make fascists uncomfortable by any means possible\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n And to that, Holly wrote, \u201cAny means\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
