One of the longest awards seasons in history \u2014 we\u2019re talking all the way back to Sundance 2025 here \u2014concludes in two weeks with the 98th Academy Awards. Tonight, though, marked the 32nd Screen Actors Guild Awards, which are now called the Actor Awards in their first iteration under that name. Here we see the guild\u2019s favorite American and British performances as chosen by the actors themselves, despite a rich year for more international roles (you won\u2019t see Oscar nominees Wagner Moura<\/a> or Renate Reinsve<\/a> or any representatives of their respective films \u201cThe Secret Agent<\/a>\u201d and \u201cSentimental Value<\/a>\u201d here).<\/p>\n

Most impactful to the Academy Awards is the winner of Cast Ensemble in a Motion Picture, which this year went to \u201cSinners<\/a>.\u201d Michael B. Jordan<\/a> also won in the best actor category. Presumed ensemble frontrunner \u201cOne Battle After Another<\/a>\u2019s\u201d sole win for the night was for Sean Penn<\/a> in the supporting category.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
