The 2026 Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards, concluded in Los Angeles with an evening defined by heartfelt tributes and a powerful show of solidarity among performers.<\/p>\n

Award-winning actress Kristin Bell returned to host for a third year, opening the ceremony with a comedic monologue focusing on celebrity stage names, jokingly calling the show\u2019s title rebrand: \u201cNew name, new girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also kept the celebrity guests entertained with a hilarious table tennis tournament, where she had actors playing head-to-head throughout the night, starting off with her The Good Place co-star Ted Danson and Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn.<\/p>\n

Legendary actor Harrison Ford received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by his \u201cfriend and colleague\u201d Woody Harrelson.<\/p>\n

\u201cIncredibly grateful for the kind attention,\u201d Ford said, accepting the honour.<\/p>\n

Ford went on to note he was not an overnight success and struggled for 15 years to break into the entertainment industry before getting his big break in the \u201cwildly successful film\u201d Star Wars, and then Indiana Jones.<\/p>\n

\u201cI found a calling, a life in storytelling,\u201d Ford said, before thanking everyone who had helped build his stellar career.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to deliver the work together is an honour and a privilege, and because of that privilege I\u2019ve come to know myself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m indeed a lucky guy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t take that for granted \u2014 thank you truly from the bottom of my heart to my peers, to my extraordinary, beautiful wife Calista and my family, who have given me the love and courage through all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also honoured on the night was the late Catherine O\u2019Hara, who won a posthumous Actor Award for her work on comedy series The Studio.<\/p>\n

The 71-year-old actor died unexpectedly in January this year from a pulmonary embolism.<\/p>\n

Already a comedy legend in films like Beetlejuice and Best In Show, O\u2019Hara\u2019s performance as an ousted studio head in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg\u2019s Hollywood satire The Studio was universally praised.<\/p>\n

Rogen was on hand to accept O\u2019Hara\u2019s Actor Award for Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was asked to assume the very sad honour of accepting this award on O\u2019Hara\u2019s behalf,\u201d Rogen said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been reflecting on my time working with her and something I\u2019ve been marvelling at over the past few weeks was her ability to be generous and kind and gracious while never minimising her own talents and her own ability to contribute to the work we were doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Actor Awards also paid tribute to actors who died in the last year, including James Van Der Beek and Eric Dane.<\/p>\n

Dawson\u2019s Creek star Van Der Beek, who died in February aged 48 after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer, was the first honoured during the ceremony\u2019s In Memoriam tribute.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the montage, a clip played of beloved Grey\u2019s Anatomy actor Dane \u2014 who died February 19 at age 53 less than a year after going public with his ALS diagnosis \u2014 saying: \u201cDon\u2019t waste one single minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trio were among dozens of stars \u2014 including Diane Keaton, Gene Hackman and Rob Reiner \u2014 remembered during the emotional segment.<\/p>\n

While the night was marked by reflection, it was also a celebration of standout achievements \u2014 with Sinners emerging as the biggest winner.<\/p>\n

Ryan Coogler\u2019s vampire thriller took out the top honour, with Delroy Lindo accepting the award on stage alongside the cast for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to every last one of this cast and company, in front of the camera and behind the camera,\u201d Lindo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe brought our hearts and spirits to this end.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd to be recognised by you all.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you does not encompass the gratitude.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the bottom of our hearts to the bottom of your hearts, thank you and god bless y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lead actor in the film, Michael B. Jordan, also took home the trophy for Male Actor in a Leading Role.<\/p>\n
