Sasha Calle<\/a> (who played Supergirl for a min in The Flash<\/a>) has signed on for a role in The Exorcist<\/a>, Universal Pictures\u2019 next installment of the iconic horror franchise, reports Deadline.<\/p>\n

Sasha Calle\u2019s role is being kept under wraps, as is the plot of the film, written and directed by Mike Flanagan<\/a>, which is shooting in New York City.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s known is that the film will tell an all-new story set in The Exorcist<\/a> universe and is not a sequel to 2023\u2019s The Exorcist: Believer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, the cast also includes Scarlett Johansson<\/a>, Jacobi Jupe<\/a>, Chiwetel Ejiofor<\/a>, Laurence Fishburne<\/a>, and Diane Lane<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to writing and directing, Mike Flanagan is producing via his Red Room Pictures<\/a> banner, alongside David Robinson<\/a> for Morgan Creek Entertainment<\/a> and Jason Blum<\/a> for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster<\/a>. Exec producers include Alexandra Magistro<\/a> for Red Room Pictures and Ryan Turek<\/a> for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.<\/p>\n
