NEW YORK CITY — <\/span>The Children’s and Family Emmy Awards were held Monday night in New York City, celebrating the best in creativity and innovation in children’s entertainment.<\/p>\n The Walt Disney Company shattered the record for most nominations, receiving 102.<\/p>\n The stars of today and tomorrow showed up at Jazz at Lincoln Center Monday night, including Dara Renee from the Disney+ show, “Descendants: The Rise Of Red.”<\/p>\n Also, during the ceremony, Bill Nye the Science Guy was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and also spoke to entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo.<\/p>\n “I put my heart and soul into that thing, and all the things I do, and I’ve been a member of the national academy since I guess 1985,” he said. “So, this is very nice.
