Sure, in 2026 there are plenty of ways to access our favourite celebrities \u2013 we might follow them on Instagram; watched their YouTube makeup tutorials or even have saved on of their personal Spotify<\/a> playlists to our phones. But for the cinephiles among us, we’re mostly itching for insider information about one thing: what movies are our favourite celebrities watching? And even more to the point \u2013 what did they think of them?<\/p>\n Even though we’ve got to live the internet having outed Ayo Edebiri’s Letterboxd account (prompting her to swiftly delete it<\/a> in all its hilarious glory), there are a few other actors and directors, singer and creatives that have decided they’re cool with unleashing their personal watch lists to the public.<\/p>\n From Rachel Sennott’s unapologetic, witty reviews to Charli XCX\u2019s unexpected voice as a budding film critic<\/a>, these stars are reshaping how we experience movies. These are your favourite celebrities on Letterboxd (and how to follow them)…<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four: <\/strong>The Bling Ring, Saved!, Jennifer’s Body\u00a0and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown<\/p>\n It’s no surprise that the actor who found her way into Shiva Baby was discovered during her years studying film at NYU. And she’s continued to be a fan in more ways than one \u2013 her Letterboxd is filled with hilariously brazen and candid reviews about taking sleeping pills and missing flights to how A24’s Beau Is Afraid\u00a0made her feel French.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four: <\/strong>The Addiction, C\u00e9line and Julie Go Boating, Maps to the Stars and Phantom Thread<\/p>\n Charli recently outed herself as a bonafide movie reviewer to her friends and fans on TikTok<\/a> and has been sharing her reviews quite publicly for the last few months. Despite how chaotic her schedule might appear through the glass of our phone screens, she still finds ample time to watch plenty of classics, Indie hits and cult favourites \u2013 from early 2000s independent anthology films to 1980s Japanese animes.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>The Big Blue, Waves,\u00a0Irreversible and Knight of Cups<\/p>\n The Australian Stranger Things\u00a0star seems to have a penchant for underground films and action flicks \u2013 and although he’s a man of few words when it comes to his reviews (“Pelvis?” and “Brilliant.” being just some of his analyses), we certainly can’t argue with his taste.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four: <\/strong>currently not listed<\/p>\n He Godfather of modern cinema himself, Scorsese is a patron of the app (meaning he’s paying for the highest tier of membership). He’s yet to list his top four and doesn’t seem to be logging his activity on the app \u2013 but he does have a list of Liked movies that you can swiftly add to your own ‘to watch’ list.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>The Idiots,\u00a0Nights of Cabiria, Oasis\u00a0and\u00a0Miami Connection<\/p>\n The Oscar-winning director behind last year’s Best Picture winner\u00a0Anora\u00a0has a fairly active presence on the app \u2013 though he’s not prone to a review in words. But in case you wanted to simply watch the same films along with him \u2013 you can find his list here.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>Apocalypse Now,\u00a0Blade Runner, The Duellists and\u00a0Das Boot<\/p>\n There aren’t many people who exist in multitudes like Kyle McLachlan. From his days as the muse of the late David Lynch<\/a> to his current persona as podcast host and general internet fiend, Maclachlan has shown that he’s not able to be boxed in \u2013 and that taste is reflected perfectly in his Letterboxd profile. He’s not logging his activity actively \u2013 but he does have a great list of his top films and recent watched.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>Goodfellas, Cool Runnings, Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and The Godfather<\/p>\n Sheeran’s bio is “I make music but I like movies so here we are” you can tell from his meticulous reviews and wide-ranging movie taste that that certainly rings true.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>not currently listed<\/p>\n The renowned German filmmaker, photographer, and key figure in New German Cinema is also on the app \u2013 and writing some movie fabulous reviews.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>Priscilla, Romeo + Juliet, Tangled and The Notebook<\/p>\n McKenna Grace is arguably everywhere right now \u2013 from\u00a0The Hunger Games\u00a0prequel to the Scream\u00a0franchise \u2013 and right now, you can also find her on Letterboxd, too.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>Spiderman 2, The Notebook, Step Brothers and Big Hero 6<\/p>\n Thames \u2013 star of The Black Phone\u00a0and\u00a0How to Train Your Dragon \u2013 is also covertly on the site under the moniker ‘petermacadamia2’. He’s fairly active on the platform too \u2013 regularly reviewing his latest watches.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Top four:\u00a0<\/strong>not currently listed<\/p>\n While we’re hoping one day Coppola will update his profile to include a top four, right now it’s merely an archive of some liked films.
