There is a new broadcast home for the Detroit Tigers<\/a> and Detroit Red Wings<\/a>.<\/p>\n It’s called Detroit SportsNet.<\/p>\n Detroit SportsNet, powered by Major League Baseball, has become the home for all locally televised Tigers games beginning in the 2026 season and Red Wings games beginning in the 2026-27 season, as announced Monday, March 2, by Ilitch Sports + Entertainment.<\/p>\n Both Tigers and Red Wings games will be available through year-round in-market streaming, while a television channel is expected to be offered in cable and satellite packages throughout Michigan.<\/p>\n Subscriptions for Detroit SportsNet, priced at $19.99 per month or $189.99 per year, are now live.<\/p>\n Fans can learn more about in-market streaming subscriptions for the Tigers and Red Wings at Tigers.com\/detroitsportsnet<\/a> and DetroitRedWings.com\/detroitsportsnet<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Given recent uncertainty throughout the regional sports broadcasting industry, we recognize the importance of providing fans with a consistent, year-round outlet to watch Tigers baseball and Red Wings hockey,” Ryan Gustafson<\/a>, president and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, said in a statement. “We have two of the top-rated broadcasts in our respective sports and remain focused on listening to fans about what matters most to them. What we’ve heard includes making sure our games are available throughout the market, providing a reliable streaming product, and producing a broadcast that’s informative and entertaining in all the right ways. This is a great path forward in those areas, allowing us to provide a great experience for fans throughout our local market.”<\/p>\n Here is everything to know about Detroit SportsNet:<\/p>\n There is a digital product currently on sale that will carry Tigers games (on the MLB app) beginning in the 2026 season and Red Wings games (on a to-be-determined app) starting in the 2026-27 season. There will be a separate linear channel that Ilitch Sports + Entertainment will unveil to fans once it’s finalized, where fans will be able to watch the Tigers beginning March 26 for Opening Day (and the Red Wings beginning in September 2026).<\/p>\n Fans can pay $19.99 per month or $189.99 for a full year \u2013\u00a0a savings of more than 20% across the 12 months. Fans who sign up for Detroit SportsNet through March 22 can take advantage of an introductory offer of $0 for Tigers games until April 1, which includes Opening Day on March 26.<\/p>\n Yes. You will not find Tigers games on FanDuel Sports Network anymore, and once the Red Wings’ regular season concludes, on April 15, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment will no longer have any association with FanDuel. Fans will need to subscribe separately to Detroit SportsNet, as it’s completely different from what they currently have.
