Erik Gruenwedel<\/a><\/p>\n March 3, 2026<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n Best Buy March 3 reported a 0.3% dip in fourth-quarter (ended Jan. 31) same-store entertainment sales, compared with a 10.9% decline in the previous-year period.<\/p>\n The entertainment segment, which includes video game hardware and software, books, music CDs and computer software, saw revenue remain relatively flat at $1.13 billion, or 9% of Best Buy\u2019s domestic revenue of $12.6 billion. That compared with entertainment revenue of $1.14 billion on total revenue of $12.7 billion in the previous-year period.<\/p>\n International entertainment same-store sales dropped 14.8% from 3.9% in the prior year period. Revenue dipped 1% to $123.9 million from $112 million in the prior year period.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are pleased to report better-than-expected profitability for the fourth quarter,\u201d CEO Corie Barry said in a statement. \u201cOur overall comparable sales, while within our guidance range, declined 0.8% compared to last year.
