The Royal Mint is celebrating the Spice Girls<\/a>\u2018 30th anniversary by launching an official commemorative coin. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n The iconic girl band, whose first single \u2018Wannabe\u2019 was released in 1996, have joined the Royal Mint\u2019s Music Legends Hall Of Fame.<\/p>\n A new \u00a35 coin design has been announced to mark the three-decade milestone, featuring silhouettes of all five members alongside their authentic autographs. Fans can collect all five unique packaging designs, with the coin now on sale here<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Spice Girls have officially approved the striking new collectable product, which was created by artist Ffion Rees (Nee Gwillim). Each of the five packaging designs is strictly limited to 15,000 coins worldwide.<\/p>\n In a statement, the girl group said: \u201cIt\u2019s a huge honour for us to be celebrated by The Royal Mint and follow in the footsteps of some true music icons.<\/p>\n \u201c2026 marks a special year for us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our debut single and album. We could never have imagined that we would be recognised in this way \u2013 the first female group to be given their very own coin\u2026what a moment for Girl Power!\u201d<\/p>\n A description reads: \u201cIn partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group\u2019s brand management and merchandise division, The Royal Mint worked closely with the band to carefully curate a design that celebrates the incredible legacy of The Spice Girls.<\/p>\n \u201cThis official tribute allows fans to own a piece of pop history, celebrating a\u00a0 group whose message of female empowerment and unforgettable fashion proved that Girl Power could\u00a0 conquer the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Lucy Mackenzie, Director of Digital and Product Concept at The Royal Mint, explained: \u201cThe\u00a0 Spice Girls didn\u2019t just dominate pop music, they defined the 90s. Now, for the first time, fans and collectors everywhere can own a piece of that legacy.<\/p>\n \u201cThe unique packaging celebrating each Spice Girl makes it one of our most collectable Music Legends releases. Girl Power is back!\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cWe\u2019re anticipating huge demand from devoted fans and collectors from across the world looking to spice up their coin collection or add to their existing collection of merchandise.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans can purchase the collectable from \u00a318.50, for the \u2018Brilliant Uncirculated\u2019 edition. The coin\u2019s obverse design features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings. It is also available in Gold Proof, Silver Proof, and as limited-edition prints.<\/p>\n Spice Girls follow the likes of David Bowie<\/a>, Paul McCartney<\/a>, Queen<\/a>, Elton John<\/a> and George Michael<\/a> in being honoured with a Royal Mint coin.<\/p>\n In other news, Mel C has teased a potential live return for the Spice Girls featuring all five members<\/a>. \u201cIf you remember, looking back to 2019 when we did our stadium tour<\/a>, Victoria [Beckham]<\/a> wasn\u2019t with us,\u201d she said. \u201cSo, she has to have that experience.\u201d<\/p>\n The last time all five members performed together publicly was at the London Olympics\u2019 closing ceremony in 2012<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2024, however, Mel C<\/a>, Geri Halliwell-Horner<\/a>,\u00a0Emma Bunton<\/a>,\u00a0Mel B<\/a>\u00a0and Beckham\u00a0gave a surprise performance of \u2018Stop\u2019 at Posh\u2019s 50th birthday party<\/a>.<\/p>\n Beckham then fuelled speculation of a full reunion last autumn when she attended one of Oasis\u2019\u00a0Live \u201925<\/em>\u00a0concerts at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 where\u00a0Spice Girls had played three huge dates in 2019<\/a>. The singer explained earlier in 2025 that she felt \u201cit\u2019s time\u201d for another run of shows<\/a>.<\/p>\n Later,\u00a0Mel B hinted that the Spice Girls could be hitting the road once again in 2026<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m always game,\u201d she said. \u201cAlways.\u201d<\/p>\n Last March,\u00a0Halliwell-Horner teased that \u201cthere will be something\u201d with Beckham in the fold in the future<\/a>: \u201cMy hope is we come back together as a collective. It\u2019s more respectful to come as one.\u201d She also revealed that all five members shared a group chat.<\/p>\n In 2022,\u00a0Beckham dashed hopes when she said she \u201ccouldn\u2019t commit\u201d to a full live tour\u00a0<\/a>because of her work in fashion and beauty.
