Princess Diana<\/a> reportedly didn’t speak to Sarah Ferguson<\/a> for one year prior to her tragic death. The much-loved member of the Royal Family<\/a> died on August 31, 1997, just one year after her divorce<\/a> from the then-Prince Charles was finalised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Diana, then aged 36, passed away following injuries she sustained from a car crash during a visit to Paris. Writing in her 2011 book Finding Sarah: A Duchess\u2019s Journey to Find Herself<\/em>, the 66-year-old discussed her past relationship with the late royal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Sarah appeared to discuss how the the pair were often compared to one another, adding that the comments would get “stuck in Diana’s mind”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She then revealed that she didn’t speak to Diana for a period of time, sharing that the comparisons were likely the reason behind the decision.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Sharing that their relationship was “periodically strained”, Sarah added: “Sadly, at the end, we hadn\u2019t spoken for a year, though I never knew the reason, except that once Diana got something stuck in her head, it stuck there for a while”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The royal, whose repuation is currently in tatters over her connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, added: “I wrote letters, thinking whatever happened didn\u2019t matter, let\u2019s sort it out. And I knew she\u2019d come back. In fact, the day before she died, she rang a friend of mine and said, \u2018Where\u2019s that Red?
