Stephen Graham has hit out at \u201cdisrespectful\u201d A-list stars who turn up late to set.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The Adolescence<\/i> star, 52, is currently in the thick of awards season, during which his Netflix series has received numerous accolades.<\/p>\n
Rising to fame two decades ago, Graham has seen it all on set, as The Sun<\/a><\/i> reports.<\/p>\n And from that experience, the actor says there\u2019s some behaviour he has no time for.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is a lot of actors that aren\u2019t on time,\u201d he admitted this week, according to MailOnline<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n Continuing to brand the behaviour \u201cdisgusting\u201d, he said: \u201cThat\u2019s exceptionally disrespectful.<\/p>\n \u201cTo leave a crew, that have been there well before you and will leave well after you, waiting around because you are some Lord and Saviour and the goose that lays the golden egg is disgusting \u2026 it\u2019s just not cricket.\u201d<\/p>\n It is not known which actors in particular Graham was referring to.<\/p>\n Last month, Graham won the Best Actor in a miniseries accolade at the Golden Globe awards.<\/p>\n He was again nominated for the gong at this weekend\u2019s Actor Awards \u2013 previously known as the SAG Awards.<\/p>\n However, he lost out to co-star and prodigy Owen Cooper, who became the youngest ever actor to win the award.<\/p>\n Adolescence was created by Graham and co-writer Jack Thorne, with the former starring in the series too as Owen\u2019s on-screen dad.<\/p>\n The gripping story is based on 13-year-old Jamie (played by Owen) who is arrested for stabbing a female classmate to death \u2013 heavily influenced by online misogyny. <\/p>\n The teen murder saga racked up 140 million views in its first three months on Netflix.<\/p>\n And added more strings to Graham,\u2019s bow, the Netflix drama looks like it\u2019s going to get a real-life \u201cspin-off\u201d courtesy of Louis Theroux.<\/p>\n The Sun<\/i> revealed last month that production company Mindhouse is developing a documentary looking at the effect of online misogyny on boys.<\/p>\n Filming of the as-yet-untitled show has begun and it will likely air on Netflix, but probably not until next year.<\/p>\n This article originally appeared in The Sun<\/a> and was reproduced with permission.<\/i><\/p>\n
