{"id":2311825,"date":"2026-03-04T09:47:39","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T09:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2311825"},"modified":"2026-03-04T09:47:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T09:47:39","slug":"mission-creek-announces-new-day-party-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/mission-creek-announces-new-day-party-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission Creek announces new Day Party festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A new spring arts festival is set to debut in Iowa City as a one-day celebration of food, literature and music.<\/p>\n<p>Founders of the Mission Creek Festival and local literary organization <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.brinkliterary.com\/\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\">Brink<\/a> have partnered to produce <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/missioncreekfestival.com\/\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\">Day Party<\/a>, a daytime arts experience scheduled for April 25. The inaugural event will take place across several Iowa City venues, including <i>The Little Village,<\/i> Plated Table, Trumpet Blossom Cafe and Public Space One.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of Day Party comes at a transitional moment for Mission Creek Festival, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iowapublicradio.org\/arts-life\/2025-04-09\/mission-creek-turns-20-and-faces-the-future\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\">which marked its 20th year in 2025.<\/a> After serving as the festival\u2019s official producer since 2014, overseeing programming, production and marketing,<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iowapublicradio.org\/arts-life\/2024-12-13\/mission-creek-announces-2025-lineup\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\"> the Englert Theater in Iowa City stepped down after last year&#8217;s festival<\/a>. This left the festival&#8217;s future to its cofounders.
