\nRoyal Ballet School with Sapnay Entertainments in a fusion of
\nclassical ballet and Bollywood.<\/p>\n
The programme will also include reflections and readings from
\nfigures spanning the arts and public life, among them Geri
\nHalliwell-Horner in her capacity as an ambassador for the Royal
\nCommonwealth Society, the dancer Oti Mabuse and the poet Selina
\nTusitala Marsh, the Commonwealth\u2019s inaugural Poet Laureate. A
\nScottish ceilidh band and the Melodians Steel Drum Orchestra are
\nalso due to perform.<\/p>\n
The King, who succeeded his mother as Head of the Commonwealth
\nin 2022, has long championed the organisation, visiting 48 member
\ncountries over four decades. Palace officials describe the annual
\nservice as one of the most visible expressions of that commitment,
\nbringing together political leaders, diplomats, civil society and
\nyouth representatives in a single act of shared observance.<\/p>\n
In the evening, the King and Queen, accompanied by the Duke and
\nDuchess of Gloucester, will host the annual Commonwealth Day
\nreception at St James\u2019s Palace. Guests are expected to include
\nforeign ministers, high commissioners and parliamentarians. A choir
\nfrom Malta will provide music during the reception, which will echo
\nthe day\u2019s theme of unlocking opportunities and strengthening
