FLO<\/a> have spoken to NME<\/em> about the highly anticipated follow-up to \u2018Access All Areas<\/a>\u2018, which they promise will be \u201cmore intense in every way\u201d.<\/p>\n The R&B trio caught up with us backstage at the 2026 Universal Pre-BRITs showcase, where they were celebrated as one of three UK artists who are on the brink of an exciting next chapter.<\/p>\n Held at the Aviva Studios in Manchester on Friday (February 27), they appeared alongside Simon Cowell\u2019s new boyband project December 10<\/a> and acclaimed singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone<\/a>, performing to a crowd of music executives and industry leaders. For FLO, the group broke out two currently unreleased tracks that will be released soon.<\/p>\n Backstage, the trio caught up with NME<\/em> and shared what it was like to be there on the night, teasing the follow-up to their hit debut album.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re very excited to perform, and it\u2019s actually really different performing for people who aren\u2019t just our fans. Strangely, it feels like a bit less pressure,\u201d shared Stella Quaresma, before Jorja Douglas shared her excitement for the new material.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve already moved on from \u2018Access All Areas\u2019. We\u2019re straight onto the next chapter and we\u2019re mainly focused on how our next music needs to be even better,\u201d she said, before Ren\u00e9e Downer added that they have to remind themselves of what it was like to see such widespread support for their 2024 debut.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has been really nice to see how many people that album really had an impact on,\u201d she told us. \u201cIt\u2019s easy to forget, until someone comes up to you like \u2018I love this song, it meant this to me\u2019. We hear you\u2019re going to play some unreleased music tonight. Is this the beginning of a new chapter?<\/strong><\/p>\n Ren\u00e9e Downer:<\/strong> \u201c100 per cent. It\u2019s definitely an elevation to what we\u2019ve done before. We have really grown, and it\u2019s showing in the music.\u201d<\/p>\n Stella Quaresma:<\/strong> \u201cWe never set out to be like, \u2018This is what we\u2019re going to make this time\u2019, but we have seen that the music just naturally progresses. We are still sticking with the nostalgic vibe though, but it\u2019s a lot more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Jorja Douglas:<\/strong> \u201cYou can expect it to be a bit more intense, in every way.\u201d<\/p>\n Since releasing \u2018Access All Areas\u2019, you have also shared the single \u2018Recently Deleted\u2019 \u2013 where does that fit into things? Was that something that didn\u2019t make the cut on the debut album?<\/strong><\/p>\n Downer:<\/strong> \u201cIt\u2019s closer to our new music. It wasn\u2019t really written for \u2018Access All Areas\u2019, but also we didn\u2019t feel like it was necessarily related to the vibe of the new music we\u2019re going with, so it felt like an in-between transition.\u201d<\/p>\n Douglas:<\/strong> \u201cThink of it like a bridge to introduce people to our new music. It had been a while since we put out new music, so we just wanted to be like, \u2018Here\u2019s a little Christmas present\u2019 to fans. We do that kind of often. It was fun to do it before the new stuff comes out.\u201d<\/p>\n
