Princesses Beatrice<\/a> and Eugenie<\/a> have been branded “toxic” in an explosive new interview with Andrew Lownie, author of the bombshell royal book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.<\/p>\n During an appearance on the Daily Expresso news show<\/a>, Lownie left little to the imagination about his views on the two York sisters, urging them to stop “exploiting” their royal connections. The author referred to recent visits Princess Beatrice<\/a> has made, in particular to Davos and the Middle East, suggesting she was there to build contacts.<\/p>\n Asked by Daily Expresso<\/a> host JJ Anisiobi whether the pair should be “cut off”, Lownie replied: “Yes, they’re toxic … On many of these taxpayer-funded trips, there are significant security costs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “There’s no reason for them to go, except to build a useful source of contacts. We’re seeing those contacts being exploited right now.”<\/p>\n He continued: “Beatrice was in Davos. She’s constantly in the Middle East, and she’s not there representing the Royal Family, although that’s always the inference \u2013 she’s there to promote her own business activities as Mrs Mapelli-Mozzi.<\/p>\n “That needs to stop. The King is very unwise to think they have any future in the Royal Family, given that they are doing exactly what their parents did: exploiting royal status for financial gain.”<\/p>\n As well as Princess Beatrice’s recent trips to the Middle East and Davos, Princess Eugenie was photographed in Qatar<\/a> at an Art Basel Qatar event in her capacity as a director at the London-based Hauser & Wirth gallery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As talks escalate around whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> will be stripped of his place as eighth in line to the throne, the position of his two daughters has been questioned.<\/p>\n As male-line grandchildren of a sovereign, the sisters have retained their royal status and their Princess titles as is dictated in the 1917 Letters Patent by King George V. He decreed at the time that the monarch’s children, male-line grandchildren and the eldest son of the Prince of Wales could hold a princely title.<\/p>\n They would need to be formally stripped of their titles or renounce them themselves for any major change to happen.<\/p>\n The names of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie<\/a> appear in the US Department of Justice’s release of the Epstein files. However, being named in the documents does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
