While appearing on the sophomore episode of the Friends Keep Secrets<\/em> podcast, Gomez sat down for a candid chat with the three hosts: her husband, Benny Blanco, rapper Lil Dicky and Lil Dicky\u2019s wife, Kristin Batalucco. Delving into everything from her impressive career to her dreamy wedding day, the conversation eventually turned to Gomez\u2019s longstanding friendship with Swift, including a revelation about a certain song from the artist\u2019s Evermore<\/em> album.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n At around the hour mark of the episode, Lil Dicky broached the subject of the Eras Tour<\/em> superstar, prompting Gomez by stating, \u201cYou\u2019re a big Taylor Swift music fan, I feel like.\u201d The Rare Beauty founder quickly responded, assuring the host her love for the artist goes well beyond just her catchy catalogue, saying, \u201cWell, I\u2019m a big Taylor fan. I\u2019m a stan for life, for sure.\u201d <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gomez and Blanco then told a story about a thoughtful gift she\u2019d received from Swift for her 30th birthday\u2014a handmade piece of artwork commemorating their friendship\u2014as well as Swift\u2019s love of baking bread and sharing it with close friends. From there, Batalucco and Lil Dicky spoke about music in general and the connections it creates, saying that Gomez clearly \u201cconnected with [Swift\u2019s] music on a different level,\u201d which resulted in Gomez revealing a fact Swifties have been speculating about for years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWell, \u2018Dorothea<\/a>\u2019 is about me\u2014one of her songs. And I feel like a lot of moments, huge moments, that were self-defining, from relationships to family to love to hate, all of it in between, we were figuring it out because I was 15 and she was 18,\u201d Gomez said. \u201cAnd we didn\u2019t really know what was going on, [but] we’ve never seen each other any differently. So when I listen to it, I\u2019m so impressed by how it\u2019s eloquently put.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gomez went on to refer to another Swift track written about their friendship, \u201cFamily<\/a>,\u201d an unreleased song from Swift\u2019s Reputation<\/em> album, noting that the lyrics predicted their flourishing careers, with Gomez now in films and Swift selling out stadiums on tour. \u201cNow, when I listen to that song, it makes me want to cry.
