{"id":2312674,"date":"2026-03-04T20:13:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T20:13:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2312674"},"modified":"2026-03-04T20:13:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T20:13:19","slug":"suss-announce-new-album-counting-sunsets-hear-sunset-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/suss-announce-new-album-counting-sunsets-hear-sunset-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"SUSS Announce New Album &#8216;Counting Sunsets&#8217;: Hear &#8220;Sunset II&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Last year, the prolific New York ambient country trio SUSS teamed up with Immersion, the duo of Wire&#8217;s Colin Newman and Minimal Compact\u2019s Malka Spigel, for the collaborative album <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2293009\/immersion-suss-state-of-motion\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nanocluster Vol. 3<\/a><\/em>, and they also shared their version of Woody Guthrie&#8217;s &#8220;<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2293092\/suss-this-land-is-your-land-woody-guthrie-cover\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This Land Is Your Land<\/a>.&#8221; Today, SUSS announce plans to follow their own 2024 LP <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2259634\/suss-flight\/music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Birds &amp; Beasts<\/a><\/em> with a new one called <em>Counting Sunsets<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Every track on <em>Counting Sunsets<\/em> is named after a number and a sunset \u2014 as in, &#8220;Sunset I,&#8221; &#8220;Sunset II,&#8221; etc. Lead single &#8220;Sunset II&#8221; is a meditative instrumental. Keyboards, acoustic guitars, and pedal steel swirl together to make you feel like you&#8217;re alone in the universe. Put it on, stare out the window, and imagine yourself in a mythic and oppressive Western landscape for a few minutes.
