Provincial officials say a new $20,000 investment will support expanded concert and festival offerings in North Bay<\/p>\n<div id=\"details-body\" data-words=\"321\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p>North Bay\u2019s signature summer street party is set to get bigger.<\/p>\n<p>The Capitol Centre says the Bay Block Party will expand into a two-day festival on Aug. 21 and 22, supported by\u00a0$20,000\u00a0from the province through the\u00a0Ontario Creates Ontario Music Investment Fund\u00a0(OMIF) Live Music stream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBay Block Party remains a signature highlight of the summer season, and we are thrilled to see it expand into a two\u2011day festival on August 21 and 22,&#8221; says Katina Connolly, executive director of the Capitol Centre.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With support from the Ontario Music Investment Fund, this year\u2019s event will feature additional programming throughout the downtown on Friday evening, complementing the outstanding local talent showcased across two stages on Saturday.
