Khloe Kardashian<\/a> is giving her insight on Lamar Odom<\/a>‘s substance abuse.<\/p>\n The two-time NBA champion is getting a first look at his past addiction<\/a> in the new documentary, Netflix’s Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.<\/p>\n \u201cThat first hit of cocaine was amazing,\u201d he admits about his previous addiction. \u201cBut you unlock a vault that you can\u2019t really control\u2026 I was out all night partying. I didn\u2019t want to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n The Netflix synopsis shares that \u201cthe documentary traces the life of Lamar Odom, from his rise to NBA fame and marriage to Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian to his near-fatal overdose<\/a> in a Nevada brothel.<\/p>\n He mentioned in the documentary that will detail his addiction through his view as well as those close to him, including his ex-wife.<\/p>\n \u201cHe would escape rehab and go on a drug bender, and no one could find him,\u201d Kardashian recalls in the documentary. \u201cI just felt such a responsibility to cover this up and protect him.\u201d<\/p>\n Kardashian and Odom were married from 2009 to 2016 and stayed with him during his 2015 near-fatal overdose prior to initially filing for divorce in 2013. She shared during an episode of The Kardashians last year about how it affected their family.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt made me sad because the demise of Lamar, hurt and affected every single one my family,\u201d Khloe said during the March 6 episode of The Kardashians. \u201cWe still love and cherish him but like that man is just not there.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t help you anymore,\u201d Khloe said to Odom who was a guest in the episode. \u201cYou\u2019ll never be the person that we all idolized.\u201d<\/p>\n In another episode last year she had empathy towards his addiction.<\/p>\n \u201cI do believe that addiction is a disease,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cThe truth is, no one can save someone from that except for that own individual. I tried countless times to save Lamar from that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou can’t keep doing f\u2013ked up s\u2013t and expect people just to stay around,\u201d she added. \u201cI had to learn the hard way that I can’t save anyone in that position.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2015, the Los Angeles star suffered a near-fatal drug overdose in Las Vegas, where he was in a coma for four days. He revealed in the documentary that he said he had \u201c12 strokes and six heart attacks,\u201d Odom reveals. \u201cThat\u2019s not no average s\u2014.\u201d<\/p>\n Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom premieres on the streamer on March 31.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
