The Prince of Wales\u2019s tough approach to handling<\/a> his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a>\u2019s scandal has been pinpointed by a royal author. Prince William<\/a> was one of the first royals to distance himself from the disgraced former Duke of York, after releasing a statement alongside his wife, Princess Catherine, ahead of his tour in Saudi Arabia last month.<\/p>\n A Kensington Palace spokesperson said that William and Catherine are \u201cdeeply concerned by the continuing revelations\u201d that have emerged in the Epstein files, adding that their \u201cthoughts remain with the victims\u201d. It came days before Andrew\u2019s humiliating arrest at his home in Norfolk.<\/p>\n Now, reports have suggested that while King Charles has a bit of a softer approach and remains \u201cvery fond\u201d of his two nieces, Andrew\u2019s daughters, Princess Beatrice<\/a> and Princess Eugenie<\/a>, the monarchy as a whole could gradually distance themselves even more with the \u201cYork branch\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Royal author Andrew Lownie told People<\/a> magazine: \u201cWilliam wants it all cleaned out before he gets [on the throne].<\/p>\n \u201cHe wants it dealt with now.<\/p>\n Another royal author, Ingrid Seward, said that Beatrice and Eugenie will ultimately be affected by their father\u2019s downfall.<\/p>\n She told the outlet: \u201cThey are tarnished by this.
