Savannah Guthrie<\/strong><\/a> intends on returning to the Today<\/em><\/a> show after the disappearance of her mom, Nancy Guthrie.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cSavannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY<\/em> colleagues,\u201d a Today spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday, March 5. \u201cWhile she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah, 54, has been absent from the Today<\/em> show since news broke on February 1 that Nancy was missing in Arizona. Former Today<\/em> coanchor Hoda Kotb<\/strong> has stepped in for Savannah, hosting alongside Craig Melvin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The NBC morning show has shown support for Savannah and her family, with the cohosts all wearing small pins with yellow ribbons over the last several weeks. There have also been yellow flowers displayed throughout the studio, symbolizing hope.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many people [are] placing yellow flowers near Nancy\u2019s home and all across the city [of Tucson, Arizona],\u201d Kotb, 61, noted while cohosting Today<\/em> in February. \u201cWe got a suggestion from one of our viewers here, we\u2019re doing the same here.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cYellow roses around Studio 1A and we\u2019re all wearing ribbons as we send our love to Savannah and her family.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the wake of Nancy\u2019s disappearance, Savannah and her siblings have put on a united front and offered statements for their mother\u2019s safe return. (Nancy shared daughters Annie<\/strong> and Savannah and son Camron<\/strong><\/a> with late husband Charles Guthrie<\/strong>, who died in 1988 after a heart attack.)<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Savannah and her family were seen stopping by a memorial<\/a> set up outside of Nancy\u2019s Tucson, Arizona, home. In the video, Annie could be heard crying as she locked arms with her husband, Tommaso Cioni<\/strong>, and Savannah. The group carried a handful of sunflowers, which they placed in front of a sign that read, \u201cDear Guthrie family, your neighbors stand with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
