The front row<\/a> at Balmain<\/a>\u2019s latest show in Paris was stacked with guests including Naomi Watts, Diane Kruger and Camille Razat on hand to witness Antonin Tron\u2019s debut collection as creative director of the house.<\/p>\n Jeremy Pope is a longtime fan of the house.<\/p>\n More from WWD<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been lucky to wear so many beautiful, amazing Balmain pieces. But as all things do, they evolve and change, so I\u2019m excited for the change,\u201d said Pope.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m like a sponge when it comes to fashion and inspiration. I\u2019m working on a project right now called \u2018The Beauty,\u2019 which is hyper-focused on how we look, how we dress, and how we present ourselves,\u201d Pope added of his star turn in the Ryan Murphy TV series, costarring Bella Hadid and Ashton Kutcher. \u201cEven just being here this week in Paris, there\u2019s so much expression, and I find so many things to explore.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like my first red carpet was probably just dressing myself on a tiny budget \u2014 and when I say tiny, I mean no budget. But listen, we love an archival piece, so maybe we\u2019ll see a vintage H&M suit out again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Pope is also starring in the upcoming Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol biopic, set for release later this year.<\/p>\n Tron\u2019s collection carried a low-key fashion fierceness, with a darker palette and mood in line with his \u201cfilm noir\u201d theme. Judging by the cheers, it was a crowd-pleaser. The clothes were polished and assured, with just a hint of \u201980s flair.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really sexy, beautiful, classy, sensual,\u201d said Noomi Rapace after the show. \u201cI loved it. I could see myself wearing basically everything.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cGirl With the Dragon Tattoo\u201d star, who begins shooting an unannounced secret project next week, was keeping all details under wraps. She also recalled her first red carpet look.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was some local designer\u2019s sort of handmade dress, and it was quite awful.
