Anne Hathaway\u2019s new song \u201cBurial\u201d has nothing to do with the London electronic musician<\/a> of the same name. The actor co-wrote the song with Charli XCX<\/a>, Jack Antonoff<\/a>, and George Daniel<\/a> for the new A24 movie, Mother Mary<\/em><\/a>. It\u2019s the first single on the Mother Mary<\/em> soundtrack, which is due out April 17 via A24 Music. The rest of the album will include original songs from Charli XCX, Jack Antonoff, and FKA twigs<\/a>\u2014who also stars in the movie. Listen to \u201cBurial\u201d below.<\/p>\n

The David Lowery-directed movie follows a pop star (Anne Hathaway) who reunites with her estranged friend and stylist (Michaela Coel). This is not the first time Hathaway has released a song. Her catalog includes music for movie soundtracks R\u00edo<\/em> (\u201cHot Wings (I Wanna Party)\u201d<\/a>) and Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em> (\u201cI Dreamed A Dream\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Mother Mary: Greatest Hits<\/em> will be one of several recent films Charli XCX has contributed her sonic vision to. Most recently, she released a Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/a> soundtrack and played herself in her own mockumentary, The Moment<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
