Prince Harry<\/a> was invited to visit Israel after his latest comments on Gaza<\/a> during an interview while on tour in Jordan. The Duke of Sussex spoke to Channel 4 News last week and asked for food and medical aid corridors to be opened to help people in Gaza.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Harry said: \u201cThe aid corridors need to be opened and they are currently not.\u201d He was speaking after hearing an update on the situation from World Central Kitchen, which provides fresh meals in response to crises.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Echoing the thoughts of WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the duke said there is a need for \u201cfull access for humanitarian organisations to be able to deliver that aid to the people that need it the most\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Duke said that \u201cit was a really important time for us to collaborate and come here and shine a light and focus on the very real humanitarian catastrophe that has happened and continues\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But Israel<\/a>\u2019s deputy foreign minister, Sharren Haskel, hit back at the Duke and claimed his accusations that corridors had been shut were false and invited him to visit the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She told internet personality Oli London that Harry\u2019s comments were \u201cdeeply disappointing\u201d for amplifying \u201cfalse narratives\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She also sent out a message: \u201cPrince Harry<\/a>, With all due respect, before using your global platform to level accusations against Israel, I would suggest a very simple step: come and see for yourself.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \u201cI personally invite you to visit the humanitarian corridor and witness firsthand how aid is coordinated and delivered. You are welcome to speak directly with the British general serving at the CMCC center \u2014 the British representative who acts as deputy commander alongside the American forces overseeing the movement of humanitarian goods.
