(Jakubaszek\/Redferns)<\/p>\n<p>Interpol has new music in the works.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cEvil\u201d band says in an <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DVgqEVFFWs6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> post, \u201cWe are pleased to announce that we have new music coming soon!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited about it and look forward to sharing it with you,\u201d the post adds.<\/p>\n<p>Interpol has also announced a new fill-in drummer for\u00a0Sam Fogarino, who\u2019s been absent from the band\u2019s live lineup since undergoing\u00a0cervical spine surgery in 2023. Urian Hackney, who\u2019s played with Iggy Pop and The Armed, will man\u00a0the kit for Interpol\u2019s upcoming tour, which launches Saturday in Miami.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook him up,\u201d Interpol says of Hackney. \u201cHe\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Interpol adds that Fogarino plays on and co-wrote their upcoming album, but is \u201cstill not available to join us on tour for the time being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The most recent Interpol album is 2022\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Other Side of Make-Believe<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026, ABC Audio.
