{"id":2315348,"date":"2026-03-06T10:17:46","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2315348"},"modified":"2026-03-06T10:17:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:17:46","slug":"university-of-scranton-hosts-regional-national-history-day-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/university-of-scranton-hosts-regional-national-history-day-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Scranton Hosts Regional National History Day Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The University of Scranton welcomed aspiring authors, filmmakers, researchers and historians to campus on Saturday, Feb. 28, as part of a regional National History Day (NHD) competition.<\/p>\n<p>The University\u2019s DeNaples Center opened its doors to 60 students from Bedford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan and Wayne counties. Participants competed across five categories \u2014 documentaries, exhibits, papers, performances and websites \u2014 in Junior (Grades 6-8) and Senior (Grades 9-12) divisions. Submitted projects aligned with this year\u2019s theme \u201cRevolution, Reaction and Reform.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wyalusing Senior High School was Best School, Senior Division, while Harlan Rowe Middle School won Best School, Junior Division.<\/p>\n<p>The event served as the Pennsylvania Region 2 contest, setting the stage for the upcoming Pennsylvania State Finals, which will also be hosted at the University.
