Selena Gomez has been using her new \u201cSecret Friends\u201d list on her Instagram Story this week to share never-before-seen photos and videos<\/a> exclusively to her millions of followers. Last night, her friend Taylor Swift<\/a> was on her mind. She posted an Instagram Story of herself lip-syncing to Swift\u2019s song \u201cFather Figure.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cDoes anyone else love a profoundly clever and smart lyricist or is it just me???\u201d she captioned the clip. She had on a black robe with the initials of her husband, Benny Blanco<\/a>, and flashed her marquise diamond engagement ring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gomez spoke in her Friends Keep Secrets <\/em>podcast appearance<\/a> earlier this week about being a Swiftie. \u201cI\u2019m a big Taylor fan. I am a stan for life for sure,\u201d she began.<\/p>\n

She told Blanco and his co-hosts Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco that she has a different relationship with Swift\u2019s music, having known the singer for over 17 years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA million percent [I connect to her music differently],\u201d she said, adding, \u201cWell, \u2018Dorothea<\/a>\u2019 is about me, one of her songs. And I feel like a lot of moments\u2014huge moments that were self-defining from relationships to family to love to hate, all of it in between, we were figuring it out because I was 15 and she was 18, and we didn\u2019t really know what was going on. And so we\u2019ve never seen each other any differently. So when I listen to it, I\u2019m so impressed how it\u2019s eloquently put.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then mentioned a second track about their friendship that Swift hasn\u2019t released yet. \u201cSo there\u2019s this song Taylor wrote about it, and it was called \u2018Family,\u2019<\/a> and it was over easily a decade ago, insinuating in the lyrics without quoting it, it is basically saying you have these amazing dreams, you want to be in movies, like in every crowd, I still see you,\u201d Gomez recalled. \u201cAnd then her part was, you know, you still believe in my stupid dreams like playing stadiums and now when I listen to that song, both of those things\u2014it makes me want to cry\u2014have happened for us. And that\u2019s really sweet because back then she was just like, \u2018I just wrote this song about us. It was just like, our story kind of,\u2019 and it was just the sweetest thing, so I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n
