LOS ANGELES \u2014 Nominated for two Academy Awards \u2014 Best International Film and Best Sound \u2014 “Sir\u00e2t” is the story of a father and his son searching for Mar \u2014 daughter and sister \u2014 in a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco.<\/p>\n
Surrounded by electronic music and a raw, unfamiliar sense of freedom, the father and son duo hand out Mar\u2019s photo again and gain. As hope fades, the two push through and follow a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert.<\/p>\n
Their journey through the wilderness forces the group to confront their limits.<\/p>\n
“Sir\u00e2t”\u00a0stars Segi Lopez as Luis, and his young son Esteban is played by Bruno Nunez Arjona.<\/p>\n
The film was the winner of the Jury Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n
