Warren was referring to the incident where Noem, 54, shot and killed her dog Cricket. In her 2024 memoir, No Going Back<\/em>, Noem claimed Cricket was \u201cuntrainable\u201d and became \u201cdangerous to anyone she came in contact with.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cI hated that dog,\u201d she wrote, adding that Cricket was \u201clike a trained assassin.\u201d<\/p>\n
Noem said that the decision to kill Cricket came after the dog attacked a local family\u2019s chickens and bit her.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was not a pleasant job,\u201d Noem wrote. \u201cBut it had to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n
