North West<\/a> is looking to follow in her dad, Ye\u2019s (formerly Kanye West<\/a>), footsteps as a dual-threat artist and producer. <\/p>\n \n\tNorth previewed some unreleased music on her TikTok Live <\/a>earlier this week, and one track finds her sampling her father\u2019s 808s & Heartbreak<\/em> track \u201cColdest Winter.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tThe electropop tribute \u2014 which interpolates Tears for Fears\u2019<\/a> \u201cMemories Fade\u201d \u2014 pays homage to Ye\u2019s late mother, Donda West, who died in November 2007 from coronary artery disease\u00a0and post-operative complications related to cosmetic surgery.<\/p>\n \n\tNorth\u2019s hard-hitting beat features punchier drums than Yeezy\u2019s original, but uses the same melody, aided by Ye\u2019s haunting vocals faintly in the background. <\/p>\n \n\tBack in January, North previewed a collaboration<\/a> with her father on social media. \u201cAll my friends are hits, you know I\u2019m not lazy\/ You\u2019re so angry that I\u2019m so mainstream,\u201d she raps. \u201cI\u2019m not sure I\u2019m crazy\/ I want more piercings and tats\/ I love blue hair, put it in some plaits\/ Put the music to the max\/ I want like a hundred thousand racks.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDays later, a blue-haired North joined Kanye in Mexico City <\/a>on the\u00a0La M\u00e9xico stage at his first Mexico show in 20 years. She accompanied her father for his performance of the emotional \u201cOnly One.\u201d North remained on stage and also performed her \u201cPiercing on my Hand\u201d track.<\/p>\n \n\tNorth stayed busy in 2025, where she notched a collaboration with FKA Twigs,<\/a> which saw her rap in Japanese on Eusexua<\/em>\u00a0standout \u201cChildlike Things.\u201d The 12-year-old also contributed to the Ye-produced \u201cLonely Roads,\u201d which landed on King Combs\u2019<\/a>\u00a0Never Stop<\/em>\u00a0EP<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, North signed a record deal with Larry Jackson\u2019s Gamma in February and has more new music on the way.
