The Princess Bride<\/em> star Cary Elwes<\/strong> has shared an emotional tribute to the late Rob Reiner<\/strong><\/a> on what would have been his 79th birthday.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram<\/a> on Friday, March 6, Elwes, 63, posted a throwback photo of himself with the director.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday would have been your 79th birthday,\u201d Elwes captioned the touching post. \u201cStill hard to believe you\u2019re gone. Missing you so much #robreiner \u2694\ufe0f\ud83d\udc94\u201d<\/p>\n

Rob and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner<\/strong>, were found dead with multiple stab wounds<\/a> in their Brentwood, California home in December 2025. They were 78 and 70, respectively.<\/p>\n

Rob and Michele\u2019s son, Nick Reiner,<\/strong> has been charged<\/a> with two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances in connection with his parents\u2019 death. He has pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bond while he awaits trial.<\/p>\n

After news of the couple\u2019s deaths broke last year, Elwes shared his grief<\/a> via social media on December 29, 2025.<\/p>\n
