Marie Christine, who is married to Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin, Prince Michael of Kent<\/a>, is seriously ill after suffering from a stroke. A source told the Daily Mail<\/a>: “Her Royal Highness suffered a stroke. Sadly, she is now bed-ridden.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Previously, the Princess of Kent had reportedly broken her wrist in a fall down the stairs at Kensington \u00adPalace<\/a>, where she lives with her \u00adhusband, 83.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The princess, 81, had previously attended King Charles’s pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Thursday with her wrists encased in splints.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n About her fall, she previously stated: “So many things that you rely on being able to do, like cleaning your teeth, are impossible.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “I can type with one finger on a mobile, but I can’t use a laptop.
