This week, what appears to be an AI-generated image of Queen Latifah<\/a> in a hospital bed, began circulating on Facebook. The post<\/a> claimed she died after \u201ca health battle far more significant than anyone imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n Fortunately, that couldn\u2019t be farther from the truth. The \u201cU.N.I.T.Y.\u201d rapper is alive and well, but the hoax got so out of hand that she had to address it twice on social media to prove she was very much still living.<\/p>\n \u201cGood morning. It\u2019s me, Latifah,\u201d she said in an Instagram video<\/a> filmed from her car on Thursday. \u201cI\u2019m 100% a-ok. Can\u2019t believe what you read on the internet or see. Can\u2019t believe nothin\u2019 now, right? I\u2019m good. Peace,\u201d she said as she danced to the music playing in her car.<\/p>\n In a follow-up video<\/a>, which was also filmed from her car, she reiterated that she was doing well. \u201cEverybody\u2019s sharing such care and concern.But honestly, what you saw on Facebook was fake, so I\u2019m fine. I\u2019m 100% A Okay. All right.\u201d<\/p>\n The death hoax began spreading on Facebook earlier in the week, with posts falsely claiming the rapper and actress had died circulating quickly online.<\/p>\n Latifah, whose real name is Dana Owens, is a Grammy-winning rapper and award-winning actress who has built a career in music, television and film. She is widely known for iconic tracks like \u201cU.N.I.T.Y.,\u201d \u201cLadies First,\u201d and \u201dJust Another Day…\u201c.
